Rose Electra Harris

12 May - 20 July 2025

Eye Of The Huntress is excited to bring you a curated selection of works from Rose Electra Harris, a London based artist, she graduated from the University of Brighton with her BA in printmaking (2015) A self-taught painter, Rose’s practice is constantly evolving, she takes inspiration from her environment and emotions. Particularly drawn to nature the artists’ large scale abstracted works often feature floral elements. Her bold lines, exuberant palate, and large scale bring to mind other female powerhouses like Lee Krasner, Elaine de Kooning, and Joan Mitchell while expressing a modern sensibility for colour creating a style that is uniquely her own.

While formally trained in printmaking, the artist has embraced painting as a medium for experimentation and self-expression. Transitioning away from a more figurative composition, her recent works explore line, texture, and colour embracing abstraction. Like a dopamine hit for the soul, the vibrant colours vivaciously explode off the canvas in bold and expressive abstract strokes. Harris’s work is evocative, pulling at the heartstrings of the viewer and reflecting the intrinsic nature of her practice with inspiration often drawn from a particular memory or emotion. Her exuberant paintings celebrate the commonplace, a reminder of the beauty surrounding us if only one takes a moment to look.

Her works have been displayed in numerous exhibitions across the UK and internationally, garnering acclaim from both critics and collectors. Each piece, whether through intricate printmaking, charcoal sketches, or expressive painting, tells a story deeply rooted in her personal experiences and artistic journey.

Rose Electra Harris’s commitment to her craft and her fearless exploration of new techniques make her a dynamic force in the contemporary art scene. Her studio, a sanctuary of creativity, is where she blends traditional methods with innovative approaches, resulting in artworks that are both timeless and avant-garde. As she continues to push the boundaries of her practice, most recently accepting a position to study at London’s prestigious Royal College of Art, her influence and recognition within the art world will only grow stronger. Eye Of The Huntress is proud to showcase her latest collection, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the vivid world she creates.

“There’s something about the chaos of nature that mirrors my inner thoughts or emotions, and then also what’s going on in the world. But it’s still calming in some ways. It has that contradiction."
